Veteran defender Sergio Ramos (37) will play for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) for another year.
Ramos won numerous trophies during his time at Real Madrid and was named the best defender in the world. After taking the end of a 16-year partnership with Real in July 2021, he took on a new challenge at PSG. Due to the aftermath of his first season injury, he only played 12 league games, but this season he played 30 league games (1 goal and 1 assist) and 8 Champions League games.
PSG is in a turbulent mood as they have not been able to fulfill their long-cherished dream of winning the Champions League this season. Because of this, it was reported that Lionel Messi and Neymar would part ways and reorganize around Kylian Mbappe.
Even in his late thirties, Ramos still captured the hearts of the club’s leaders with his leadership and skills. Director Christophe Galtier praised him repeatedly as “a leader who did not wear an armband.” 먹튀검증
Spain’s Pichajes reported on the 17th that “PSG will extend the contract with former Spanish national team defender Ramos by one year.”
According to the media, Ramos’ contract lasts until this season. While Cristiano Ronaldo’s current club, Saudi Arabia’s Al Nasr, is interested, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is satisfied with his leadership in the locker room.
Ramos is also positive about staying in Paris. Within a few weeks, he predicted that an offer from the club would arrive.
