The under-20 (U-20) soccer team led by coach Kim Eun-joong reached the quarterfinals of the U-20 Asian Cup. 

The national team led by coach Kim Eun-joong drew without scoring in the 3rd match of Group C of the 2023 AFC U-20 Asian Cup group stage against Tajikistan held at Bunyodkor Stadium in Uzbekistan on the 8th. Korea, which defeated Oman and Jordan earlier, recorded two wins and one draw, advancing to the quarterfinals as first place in the group.

Korea led the game. They tried again and again to increase possession, but failed to open the goal. Tajikistan threatened South Korea with occasional mid-range shots. Korea aggressively used a replacement card in the second half and tried to score, but Tajikistan’s goal was not opened.  안전놀이터

On the 12th, at 7:00 pm, Korea will clash with second place in Group D in the quarterfinals. In Group D, Japan (6 points) is currently leading, and China (3 points) is second. Saudi Arabia (3 points) also has a chance of advancing to the quarterfinals. 

China will play Kyrgyzstan, the lowest place in Group D, and Japan will play the final match against Saudi Arabia at 9:00 pm on the 9th.
