Ha Sung Kim (San Diego Padres) soared. He hit his first big league multi-homer game.

Kim batted first and played third in the lineup against the Pittsburgh Pirates at Petco Park in San Diego, California, U.S., on April 25.

San Diego’s lineup is: Ha-Sung Kim (third base), Fernando Tatis Jr. (right field), Juan Soto (left field), Manny Machado (designated hitter), Zander Bogaerts (shortstop), Jake Cronenweth (second base), Luis Camposano (catcher), Alfonso Rivas (first base), and Trent Grisham (center field). The starting pitcher was Darvish Yu.

Quinn Priester got the start for Pittsburgh and the lineup was Zack Swinski (center field)-Brian Reynolds (left field)-Andrew McCutchen (designated hitter)-Carlos Santana (first base)-Henry Davis (right field)-Jared Triolo (third base)-Andy Rodriguez (catcher)-Tukupita Makano (second base)-Robert Peguero (shortstop).

Kim got things started in the first inning. He led off with a single and took a Frister four-seam fastball over the left-center field fence. Frister’s ball was driven into the gap and Kim didn’t miss it.

Pittsburgh answered back in the top of the third. With the bases loaded, Swinski hit Darvish’s first-pitch fastball over the right field fence. Reynolds followed with a strikeout, but McCutchen walked and Santana followed with a two-run homer.

Kim Ha-seong led off the bottom of the third and took a full count on Frister’s sinker, but was stranded on a grounder to shortstop.

Darvish fell apart in the top of the fourth. After giving up a leadoff single to Triolo, he got Rodriguez to fly out to center and Makano to ground out, but gave up a two-run homer to Santana. 꽁머니사이트

In the top of the fifth, the Pittsburgh offense got to Darvish again. After McCutchen led off with a straight-up walk, Santana drew his second walk of the game. Darvish came off the mound after striking out Davis.

Tim Hill, who took over for Barton, struck out Triolo but gave up consecutive singles to Rodriguez, Machano and Peguero. Pittsburgh took an 8-1 lead.
