He’s gone on ‘secondment’ and his office desk is missing. The future of Portuguese striker João Felix, 23, is in doubt after returning to Atletico Madrid.
Much has changed since his loan spell with Chelsea in the second half of the 2022-2023 season.
According to Spanish outlet Relevo on Nov. 11, Felix has lost his No. 7 shirt to Antoine Griezmann.
He’s also been training with the youth team instead of the first team. Locally, this is taken as a sign that Diego Simeone has removed Felix from his plans for the first team next season.
He was also seen arguing with sporting director Andrea Berta on the training ground. It’s clear that the situation surrounding Felix is far from smooth. 메이저놀이터
Atletico are currently training in San Francisco, in the Segovia region. They’ll be here for a week, then leave for a tour of South Korea and North America. It’s unclear if Felix will join them on the trip.
According to L’Equipe, Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique is interested in signing Felix.
If Enrique were to make the move, he would fill the void left by Lionel Messi, who left the team at the end of last season. He also plays alongside Lee Kang-in.
Felix joined Atletico in 2019 from Benfica for £113 million ($188.8 million at today’s exchange rate) and spent four years at the club. He scored 34 goals in 131 appearances. However, he hasn’t been a consistent starter for Simeone’s team.
