Manchester United has made it three straight preseason wins.
Manchester United recorded a 2-0 victory over Arsenal in a preseason friendly at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, USA, at 6:00 a.m. ET on Wednesday. It was United’s third straight preseason win, following victories over Leeds United and Olympique Lyonnais.
United brought a 4-2-3-1 formation. Sancho, Garnacho, Bruno, Anthony, Mount, Mainu, Shaw, Martinez, Varane, and Wan-Bissaka filled out the starting lineup, with Heaton in goal. Arsenal’s counterpart utilized a 4-3-3 formation. Martinelli, Nketiah, Xhaka, Haberts, Reiss, Ödegaard, Tomiyas, Magalhaes, Saliba, and Timber started up front, with Ramsdale in goal.
United opened the scoring. In the fifth minute, Anthony received a pass from Bruno and tried a left-footed shot from inside the box, but the ball went wide of the right side of the goal. With the game out of reach, Arsenal began to fight back. In the 7th minute, Martinelli fired a right-footed shot from outside the box off a pass from Xhaka, but the ball sailed high and wide of the goal.

Arsenal had the first shot of the second half. United pushed for a second goal. In the 19th minute, Dalot fired a right-footed shot from the right side of the box off a pass from Maguire, but it was off target.
